Regional InitiativesRegional Initiatives bring GINA together with local government, academic, health care professional, and patient groups to translate the GINA guidelines into forms adapted to the health care systems in different parts of the world. GINAs Executive, Scientific, and Dissemination Committees work with regional leaders in a range of educational efforts. The Chair of each Regional Committee also has a seat on the GINA Executive Committee. RegionsMesoamericaThe first of the Regional Initiatives to get underway, Mesoamerica consists of Costa Rica, Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Panama. MediterraneanThe GINA Mediterranean region includes France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Lebanon, Morocco, Spain, Syria, Tunisia, and Turkey.
